Workshop on ‘Scope of Aromatic Crops in Meghalaya’ jointly organized by Secretariat Raj Bhavan and Institute of Natural Resources, Meghalaya, 09 August 2018

Objectives:
1. To provide awareness to the people and young entrepreneurs for development of
entrepreneurial skills in the area of essential oil processing and value addition.
2. To impart knowledge to participants, this will enable them to make the decision whether or
not to enter into the herbal business.

Nos of Participants: 100 farmers

Outcome of the Workshop:
1. At the conclusion of the Workshop, Shri. K.N. Kumar, IAS & APC & Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya, announced that Four (4) distillation Unit will be supported by the Government to the farmer’s group who has an established plantation of the aromatic plants.
