Decentralised Green Development Project (Hydro-Pico Turbine): Dated 24-09-2020

INR organised the training programme and Exposure visit at Khliehriat C&RD Block

Objectives:
1. Operators were sensitised about the aim of project and the Pico-Turbine which generates electricity power of 0-5kW , , it should also meet criterias such as that the water from the source/stream is stored in a reservoir/weir and released at a minimum head of 10m down to the hydroger with a minimum discharge of 10lts/sec to get the desirable output Power.
2. VECs were enlighten about to create the Community Collection Fund by collecting from villagers to meet out the maintenance of Hydroger and besides to pay for the Operators if such need arises.
3. Operators were trained to have knowledge on to how to understand and implement the techniques of effective maintenance of Hydroger like proper surge protection earthing to Hydroger and the Electronic Load Controller to minimized the chance of failure/damaged.
4. That the Operators must kept in mind that the generated output Power of Hydroger that connected to Load Lighting of Houses, Lighting of Schools, Street Lighting and Community Lighting etc should not exceed the Maximum output Load Capacity of Hydroger.

PARTICIPANTS: Green Energy-MINR Team & Field Engineers (INR & MBDA); VECs members of Lumshyrmit; VECs members of Cham Cham; VECs members of Tuberkmai Shnong; VECs members of Rangad; VECs members of Suchen Dhana; VECs members of Iapmala and Mutong

OUTCOME:
• Operators were trained to have knowledge on to how to understand and implement the techniques of effective maintenance of Hydroger like proper surge protection earthing to Hydroger and the Electronic Load Controller to minimized the chance of failure/damaged.
• That the Operators must keep in mind that the generated output Power of Hydroger that connected to Load Lighting of Houses, Lighting of Schools, Street Lighting and Community Lighting etc should not exceed the Maximum output Load Capacity of Hydroger.
